"You did an
excellent job, everything is perfect, its the exact color we were looking for.
We will definitely keep you in mind for any additional painting jobs. Thanks

Our customers wanted to move their kitchen cabinets from standard white to a
more interesting faux. We used an antique French glazing style.
I wanted to tell you again how much
I am enjoying the mantle you painted for me. Today it was just stunning! I came
home at about 1 pm and the sun was shining through the windows on to the natural
wood floor and the reflected light off the floor on to the mantle made the
mantle glow all on its own. First I was confused as to where the light was
coming from, it was as if someone put a spotlight on just the mantle. Nothing
else around it picked up the glow. Wow! I don’t know if that was part of your
plan in the painting, but what an amazing effect. Of course, the mantle always
looks great. In any light. You did a wonderful job. I am so glad I just turned
you lose and let you do your thing, because it came out perfect. It was so great
to be able to trust you and not have to supervise. I appreciate your quick
response to my anxiety at the end to get it finished. I have enjoyed it all
summer and looking forward to a cozy winter by the fireplace. Thanks again for
the great “show” you put on.
We
have even restored a
number of old faux
finishes. It requires a
good bit of process and
art to find a match good
enough to touch up a
faux finish, but it can
be done.
Repair of
a 20 year old faux
finish in the historic
Portland police

Our
customer, a partner in a
great Portland law firm,
had one of the walls in
his office devastated by
water damage. He was
afraid he'd seen the
last of his beautifully
faux finished wall and
would have to live with
one wall different or
repaint everything. We
took pieces of the wall
back to the studio with
us and recreated
technique, color, and
style to match the
original finish. Once we
had re-engineered the
old finish, applying it
seemed easy.
" We had small sample cans of the colors we wanted in that room
and with those he prepared a few sample boards in va rious
ragging/sponging/etc., techniques, which he had even sprayed with
texture so we could see how it would actually look on our textured
walls. Between those and some further discussion about what we liked or
disliked about certain looks (through which Paul was very patient with
our decision making process!), he ended up painting exactly the finished
look we were going for in our living room. "

Metallic Paints and Finishes

It was a pleasure
working with you and
your personable crew.
They were on time,
enthusiastic,
accommodating,
professional and SOOO
tidy (greatly
appreciated!) The
paint job was
challenging with all the
delicate specialty
paints and I am thrilled
with the results. I
look forward to working
with you on “phase two”
in my home.
Thank you again,

At the Columbia Edgewater country club, we replaced drywall on their 30 foot ceiling, painted the entire lobby and
finished it off with a dazzling metallic ceiling paint.
SkimStone Decorative Finish (Hybridized Portland Cement) is an
innovative trowel-applied interior/exterior decorative finish for floors,

textured appearance that transforms concrete floors and countertops into
beautiful design element.
"Because
I was new to Portland I had some difficulty knowing who to hire for the painting
of my newly purchased downtown Portland condo. My good fortune was finding A
Fresh Coat Painting and meeting Kurt Deppisch. I soon discovered that Kurt and
Paul, the owners of this painting business are not only painters, they are
artists. Kurt is willing to follow directions and he is eager to please but when
he is given the option of coming up with creative ideas the results have been
amazing. After the completion of painting the entire condo interior, with accent
colors, Kurt has used a trowel to create a concrete faux stone finish over the
balcony floors and he has trimmed both with decorative tile. It has been an
affordable and attractive change and everyone who sees them, offers compliments
and asks for his business card. This is a business that is dedicated to customer
satisfaction. I am presently planning to redecorate another condo and we have
already discussed new creative painting options." Janice Friedli

"You have
to actually see and touch
Venetian Plaster to
appreciate how rich and solid it is."

"Kurt spent hours prepping the walls, applying the plaster in coats, and then
burnishing the surface with a trowel to give it a textured appearance. The room
looks fantastic! "

"Kurt and Paul did the
Venetian plastering of
a long, cathedral-ceilinged wall running from our dining area through the living
room. They were punctual, stuck to the budget they quoted us, and took great
care with protecting the rugs and furniture. I liked the way they offered us
alternative ways of approaching the job and explained the choices clearly while
letting us make the final decisions. The results were beautiful, and I would
recommend them to anyone for this kind of wall treatment."
